Hardwood timber floor installation:
We install solid timber, engineered and pre-finished flooring including parquetry over concrete, yellow tongue and joists.
Sanding and polishing:
We use a combination of German and Australian made machinery, using the best methods to reach a smooth sanding finish. Whether you have an old or new floor we can add the final touches or reveal the inner beauty of the natural timber.
The amount of sanding a timber floor might need is determined by the condition of the timber at the beginning . but if you have an older house with glues and tar do not fear the modern machinery we use is able to cut through to reveal beautiful rich timber. We have sanded boards as old as 130 years that were meant for nothing more than barn floors and turned them into clean warm homely floors.
The finish:
The finish chosen for your floor can greatly determine both the wear and appearance of your floor and there are many different quality products so feel free to ask as many questions about the option between oil, wax , water based and solvent based polyurethanes. Across many different brands
Special finishes:
We can stain light timbers darker in variety of colours as well as lime wash timber floors lighter and darker in variety of timber floors. If you are renovating an older home and do not want to replicate the orange timber floor so common in older homes we can find a coloured a strain or lime wash to suit the new style of your home.
For example if you have the very common cypress pin in your home, we are able to lime wash it with a white or grey wash to give it a beach house feel or stain a chocolate walnut or black ash colour to give a classic look. So too if you have a newly installed floor you are able to create the look you desire by staining and lime washing the new timber. The stains come in many colours and there are many different options and selections we can use to achieve the exact style you want. Many of our customers are in inspired by the floors and styles that they have seen in magazines, on TV, in public places or even in our previous jobs.
