The amount of sanding a timber floor might need is determined  by the condition of the timber at the begining . but if you have an older house with glues and tar do not fear the modern machinery we use is able to cut through to reveal beautiful rich timber. We have sanded boards as old as 130 years that were meant for nothing more than barn floors and turned them into clean warm homely floors.
